bringing back Sarah is throwing a bone to conservatives.

I agree and she certainly gives the ONLY voice for conservatives but she's trying to wake up the sleepy who go about clueless and who settle for 'anyone but'. And many of them even consider themselves conservative but we know better for 'fear is the opposite of patriotic'.

Based on what? She did nothing against America and conservatism. She is free to live having a job with Fox. Personally I like her insights and her style of commenting on the current events. Those twisting and ridiculing by perverting her comments --- does not make what they twist and turn true.

Do not drink the Kool-Aid ..

It is offered up every day. Be discerning.

God bless America.

I disagree wholeheartedly. Sarah has been dumped on continually by those trying to kill her influence (just like you). Calling someone a fool is ugly and based on nothing, but a person’s opinion.

Obviously you are a liberal. It takes one to make such hateful statements. Are you jealous?

McCain must be really pissed now that Rubio has displaced him as the Democrats’ favorite Republican.

When a contract is completed, it is time to negotiate a new contract and apparently the parties (Fox News and Sarah) did not come to agreement. Since they were private, we have no idea how far apart they were. We see what we look for and apparently you look for the liberal, progressive, and condemn all else.

Well put. My “nuance” would have gained me a time out at least...

Yeah, that's what the trools (that's a troll that drools) are trying for. They want to "get us going" but this one got raked over the coals pretty good with lots of direct comments which brought out his agenda quite well.

the Republicans voting for it are doing it for the money. That makes them traitors for hire.

The worse kind of whores.

Absolutely NO happy endings.

Until they are removed, their choice how.

Voter fraud determines elections these days, too bad we don't use the purple finger thingie.

But of course, most of the fraud is behind the scenes by stuffing the boxes, like the guy that signed up to vote through ACORN 90 times (for a dollar each time!) and Obama's crew voted that many times in his place.

My estimation at this time is that we need at least 10 million extra votes to counter the fraud. If the amnesty thingie is put in place, it will be a lot more.

When the black boot heads for Conservative Tea Party type Patriotic citizens' necks it won't get the spit shine (they expect lickin', as a kid, knowing the definition of a lickin', that's the kind they're in for) they expect.

LOL, you misread MY reply, it wasn’t directed at you at all, read that again. “you merely tell them”

“”you merely tell them, do what you will, but here I take my stand, fame, fortune, dignity, prestige, status, power, can all be stripped from me, I will face whatever the cost rather than go down your road.””

I think you posted that to the wrong person.

My post 63 to metafugitive said this “”Palin didn’t get fired, and you don’t have the details about her leaving although you are posting your claimed ones.””

Paula Dean is being fired, this isn’t a case of her conditions not being met and a contract not being reached, she is being kicked out, fired, terminated, she isn’t turning down a gig voluntarily, she would do anything to not be fired.

Meta f is very wrong in most of what he has said, and is just making up this idea that she only went to twitter because she couldn't go elsewhere.

She tweeted, put a major Facebook post up about amnesty, then wrote an editorial for Breitbart. I don't think that shows any kind of control by Fox, nor does it look like she isn't attacking this frontally. It's clear she is hitting this topic in every way she can.

It remains to be seen how Fox will use her reporting and editorializing. One thing for sure, meta f has been wrong..........a lot.............. with his take on Palin from the moment he came on to this thread.

Food Network’s official stance on Paula Deen is that her contract is not being renewed at the end of the month. And since I understand they are also pulling all her shows off the air, that’s a pretty strong statement.

That said, I’ve got thirty years in media, with a good portion of it covered under contract. Not having a contract renewed, while not being fired in the strictest sense of the word, is essentially the same thing. You’re still being told by your employer that you’re not welcome at work on Monday.

We don’t know the exact details of, and reasons for, Palin’s departure from FNC the first time. And unless either side cares to reveal them, that’s for the best.

Most of us here remember when the issue came up, candidate GW recognized that it was a losing issue, so he got his Senate to move to construct a fence, they even appropriated money to build it. As soon as the election was over that money was removed from the budget.

I have always recognized GW as his father's son and committed to the NWO that GHWB was committed too.

I believe that we have no reason to think that Palin was fired, zero reason, and that we all know that Paula Dean WAS fired.

You could be right. However, the net result in both cases was the same, through non-renewal of contract.

I’ve both gained and lost jobs in the industry through contracts and when mine ran out, it was the same thing.

I guess you don’t sign petitions either or participate in any other form of activism or participation for your causes to your representatives. If you have any that is.

Results the same? Being fired or pursuing and failing to meet the talent’s requirements? I don’t think so.

A few months after what we assume were contract negotiations, Palin is back at Fox. On the other hand Paula Dean was fired, and that I’m betting is a whole different ball of wax in regards to her future.

I bet Paula Dean would not agree with you that she is in the same position with her network future, that Sarah Palin was 5 months ago with Fox.

Results the same? Being fired or pursuing and failing to meet the talent’s requirements? I don’t think so.

Do you have a job there the next morning? No. Results, while worded differently, are essentially the same.

Of course, as you put it, 'pursuing and failing to meet the talent's requirements' will often result in non-renewal of a contract. That's often expressed in ratings (in my own case it came when a show I was doing was switched to another provider by a rights grantor, and they preferred their own talent).

You're right to note that they aren't worded the same. And yes, Palin is back at Fox. It's not unheard of in the broadcast industry for seemingly insurmountable obstacles to be overcome with some ease. But if you've been in the industry, you know that the terms mean the same thing. How you rebound determines the type of media personality you are.

You're also right to say that Paula Deen's broadcast future isn't as rosy as Sarah Palin's.
