"I have a cousin who lives outside of Phoenix who ran out to the grocery store the evening after the MAIG bus stop there and he saw the bus parked outside of a hotel. He was curious so he pulled in the parking lot to take a look at it. What struck him was that they had three, yes three, security guards who were FULLY ARMED with SEMI-AUTO PISTOLS keeping people at a distance from the bus.
"So...let me get this straight...MAIG says guns are bad...and guns are the cause of so many of the ills in society...but their anti-gun protest vehicle needs people with guns to protect it...guns we shouldn't have to protect ourselves and our families.
"Maybe MAIG should change their motto to "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun"...err, apologies, I think that's already taken.

True, but a good photo would probably reveal make and model, and I doubt Nanny Bloomer’s security people are friendly enough to answer a direct question like that. But yes, would be good to know what THEY thought was necessary for defensive gunning. Bet it’s more than 6+1.

Well that’s the reason the OP at the source posted. You can’t get the schedule. I suppose if you were on some sort of a fan list, you might get notice close to the time of the event. But the schedule, as far as I know, hasn’t been published. The theory is they are trying hard to control the optics, make it look like lots of supportive folks show up and no “cranky constitutionalists” there to rain on their parade. Hence the secrecy.
If you look at the post in context, you can see this isn’t in a paper. This is from a non-journalist eye-witness in Phoenix, a relative of one of the posters on illinoiscarry, and the folks on IC are generally very gun savvy. So I am pretty sure they are not confused about what a semi-auto is.

Bloomberg is an impotent little rut whose ONLY outstanding quality is his giant ego he has of himself and that he want to be everyone mommy.
They’re against ILLEGAL guns. Since these guns are hired for their protection, they’re legal.
Guns owned by the commoners are illegal and need to be confiscated.
The MAIG people were just concerned that they might get caught in a shootout between cowboys and Indians in Phoenix.
They do have some cause for concern, because both the Apache and Navajo (Dine) are warrior tribes, and the two have a huge number of lawyers per capita.
They might get injured with an Injun Injunction.
Just another liberal hyprocisy. Guns to protect the liberal elite but not the peasants.
