Robert Zimmerman Jr. On Civil Law Suit: "It Might Not Be Flattering To Trayvon Or His Family"
Global Grind ^ | July 27, 2013 | Staff

As we all know, George Zimmerman was recently acquitted of second-degree murder charges after killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin last year.

Since then, George's attorneys have been seen celebrating at one of the most expensive restaurants in New York, his parents have thanked God he was found not guilty, and Juror B37 had an onslaught of devastating comments to share.

Hurt Americans currently seeking out a better day for young African American males in this country.

To add fuel to the fire, Robert Zimmerman Jr. is speaking out against attempts to file a civil lawsuit against his brother George.

In what seemed like a slightly threatening comment and an attempt to intimidate the Martin family - and their supporters- Robert wrote in an email to The Huffington Post:

"A myriad of things that were off-limits in a criminal trial would come into play in a civil case. Specifically, things that might not be very flattering to Trayvon or his family."

"I don't expect a wrongful death suit ... There is the potential assertion of civil immunity before the case would even start -- things that were off limits during the case might also come up then. Also, a criminal acquittal goes a long way to supporting a civil immunity claim."

Why is it so hard for people to understand someone who kills a kid whose sole intent was to get home from the store, should be held accountable by the justice system?

I was under the same impression as well. Stand Your Ground or the Texas Castle Doctrine laws shield the person doing the shooting from being sued in civil court for actions taken under the aforementioned laws. At least, I thought they did. Maybe Florida is different? Or maybe, the Martin family is just that greedy and stupid.

And should be left alone.

I am sorry but this persons fantasy of cute little Travon skipping merrily home with his candy is slightly different then the reality of an over six foot teen who was living illegally in the area prowling around a dark house that had recently been burglarized who decided to attack and injure a man who had offered him no violence.

The defense will also depose his brother as well, and anyone who thinks that anything unflattering that they uncover won't make it to the media is kidding themselves.

In any civil action filed by the Martins against GZ, his side is the defense. Yes, they will undoubtedly depose Trayvon's brother. Doing that should get quite interesting.

They’re willfully ignorant. They have an agenda, and the truth isn’t going to stand in their way. I’ve witnessed people trying to debate liberals with facts about this case. And they simply aren’t interested in the truth.

I’ve even heard them say that Zimmerman self-inflicted his injuries. Which, by the way, were “minimal” according to them.

Ignorant, worthless, useful idiots. Because, in case you haven’t heard, Martin’s only crime was “walking while black”.

These losers still believe this ****.... I mean, it's just like Hitler said, some part of a big lie lives on no matter how thoroughly it's been squashed.

You love them because they continue to insist President Obama is infallible? If Obama had personally called George and asked him to plead guilty to 2nd degree murder, we could have avoided all this, because George would have done it.

They often say a conservative is a liberal who’s been mugged. Let’s give them a little time. Eventually they are going to notice who supports their right to defend themselves, who gives them a chance to be heard... and who does not.

The “Global Grind” staff needs to be renamed to the “Global Dry Hump” for spewing crap and considering it palatable material.
