The 1911 is fairly easy to strip and actually even detail strip if you have the intructions. The only problem I ever have is getting that barrel link just in the right spot to put the slide release pin through it.

The Browning Hi-Power us much easier to field strip tho.

The most difficult pistol to field strip and put together again, in my opinion, is the 9mm Rohrbaugh.

I’m with you on the link/pin thing, ugh! By comparison my Glock is a piece of cake. But ya know, that big stainless 1911 is still so much fun to shoot, I don’t mind the “work” of cleaning and caring for it.
