There is no Egyptian government; just military rule and the military’s appointed puppet government. The appointed governmental rulers are themselves radicals. Pledges to rebuild churches that didn’t have to be destroyed in the first place are hollow.
If anyone thinks I agree with what we did in Iraq and Afghanistan in terms of setting up their new governments, please do not be mistaken about the reverse being the case. Much of Iraq’s constitution was recycled from Saddam’s, and the new Islamic Republic of Iraq regards Israel as their number-one enemy in the region. Well, technically there is an Egyptian government. It may not be the one you want (MB?) but it exists.
