The above quote appears to read as though it was a singular and direct connection when it took decades to bring our popular culture to where it is today and thanks to our education system, the news media’s liberal agenda, low-information voters and election fraud, we’ve all but made love to, had children with and married this “monster” whether it was off the leash or not.

I guess it depends on who “they” were/are.
Russia is the only major state which is standing up and fighting for the values of Christendom.
I spent my Catholic grade school childhood praying daily for the "conversion of Russia". You might say this illustrates the power of prayer.
Onward. Now for the conversion of America.
Others have said it and I agree. Russia isn’tAmerica (now or what we used to be) and Putin is what he is. That said...
And as others have pointed out, he is a nationalist and loves his country. True he was KGB. He also saw the USSR collapse under communism. He likely had a lot to do with pushing atheism/homosexuality on the west, So he KNOWS the destructive power of it. And too, he KNOWS what Islam is having dealt with it in Afghanistan and who knows where else.
Takes as a whole, that adds up to someone, who dispite his mechinations, is intent on keeping his country safe from the evils the Soviets unleashed on the planet. I sure don’t thank him for his part in it then, but with America ruled by a combo of PC stupidity, Islamophillia and good old Chicago Way Dem politics, he’s the closest thing to ‘hope’ we are likely to see for some time.
I have almost no faith that enough Americans will either refind or adopt principled voting. I see too many people making excuses every day on the farthest right website, much less the right wing at large. So if Russia has to be a beacon of light, so be it. We willingly gave up that mantle so we have to take the consequenses and accept whatever help we get.
And I am SURE Vlad Putin will never bow to liberals, pc BS or the American MSM.
And I cannot believe I just typed that. But I did. And I believe every word of it. Shows just how far we have fallen.
This does not surprise me. The Russian Orothodox Church has wielded considerable influence in Russia since the end of Communism and they’re not thrilled at anything that undermines their authority, especially gay rights and increasing secularism.

I call BS on that because the light at the end of the tunnel is not necessarily Russian and it’s not an oncoming train either. NEVER give in...NEVER talk like it’s over before it’s over...NEVER!
I was the same as you when I was a kid, I even remember a priest telling our class in Catholic elementary school that if we prayed the rosary every day then we would some day see the Christian conversion of Russia. It looks like that prophecy has come true.

And, yes, you are right that we need to pray really hard for the USA.
Someone had to fill the vacuum. It's not too surprising that Russia is on the upswing.
It was pointed out shortly after the end of the Soviet Union that their individual states were dropping away and becoming independent, while Europe was coalescing into one entity. An interesting before-and-after map appeared.
Same could be said for us. Our states are losing sovereignty and the central government is getting stronger.
It also occurs to me that Russia is facing its past, just as Germany had to. Getting ready to meet their maker. Would that it would happen here!
