I once had a similar car—a 1965 two-door Impala with a 283 motor and an automatic transmission. It finally died after I drove it a quarter million miles.

I had the same straight six cylinder car (right)?

Dark green given from my parents as my first car to drive (already many years old).

Saved my life when a drunk driver ran into me at a stop light going 45 in a huge van. Smaller car would left me in worse shape IMO.

Nice roomy car. Lots of fun.

My childhood Best Friend's Father had a Triple Black 65 SS 396 Impala. I still remember that car, it was gorgeous. I think it had Leather Seats, or really nice Naugahyde Seats.

It's one of my “if I hit the Lotto” Cars, along with a Red 69 Roadrunner.

My older brother and his wife bought their first house in ‘83. Nice Victorian-style 3 bedroom, 2 bath. There was a two car garage out back where the elderly woman who sold the house kept her 1968 two-door Buick Wildcat with an in-line six and standard shift on the steering column. There were 18,000 original miles on it and the back seat looked as if no one had ever sat in it. My brother and some of his friends made good offers for it but the old gal wouldn’t sell.
