As a White person, I think it’s well past time that I stopped taking care of Black folks via the redistribution of my hard-earned tax dollars.

I feel sometimes white people can’t win. I myself have felt this often. If I smile to a black-person, some are offended and probably think I am just trying to prove I am not racist. If I hold the door for a black person as I am leaving the store, the same thing. If I don’t do those things, I am racist. If I pay them a compliment, it’s racist.

The thing is, I do all those things, regardless of race because that was how I was raised.

You can feel the “attitude” when you do simple common courtesies. Michelle Obama talked about how she felt about white people at college, this is what I am referring to..that white folks act like they are not racist, but in their hearts they really are...arrrgh.

At work, there are several blacks, some very nice, easy to talk to, no attitude..But then there are the others, that don’t say thank you for an courtesy, just give you that look..

Am I the only one who feels this way?
