I don’t know that this would be such a boon to us, having Senators not elected popularly. There’s a pile of RINOs and used-to-be Democrats in the South Carolina houses, bought and paid for by trial lawyers and Duke Energy just like LG. I think we’re better off electing them directly, especially with the newly energized conservative bloc.

Yep. We made some fundamental mistakes in 1913. THE fundamental mistake was booting the states out of the government. It guaranteed a consolidation of all power, as evidenced by the New Deal, Great Society and the rise of Zero.

Until a senate of the states is restored, our head first dive into tyranny is a certainty.
