We usually buy generic, but it is Barilla from here on out!
Ouch ... generic brands are very high in starch that renders the pasty gummy. When purchasing dried pasta, always check the country of origin! Barilla is an Italian company and some of its products are manufactured locally in the US, following their formula. It is an excellent pasta. I had an opportunity to visit their factory in Parma, Italy, many years ago.
