There are two things that rarely match in government: What is said and what is done. I’m looking for the reports in the media of all of those DC cops and park rangers who refused to carry out orders to harass the vets. Haven’t found any yet.

Those cops could have been altruistic and said, hell with it, I am not doing this. They would have been unemployed in a month and their refusal would not have been recognized or appreciated. So why do it, why put their families and obligations at risk?
