Keep the deadline and keep the fines by NOT bringing the bill to the floor. I agree that will be the right gesture, but Obama will just executive order it and nobody will make the slightest effort to stop him.
The executive does what it wants now, as it is racist to object.

It is an interesting question for the GOP. What makes more sense. Force the President to make the executive order or pass a measure with broad support through Congress.
Either way I like the idea of Ted Cruz coming out and saying he is relieved that the president has finally come to his senses. Even if that isn't true, it makes a good sound bite.
