The thing is, is someone owns a house but doesn’t bother to get at least catastrophic insurance for himself, then if he does get very sick, he shouldn’t make others pay for that while he keeps his assets.

So yes, people should lose their houses because they get sick—if they didn’t bother with insurance and that’s the only way they can pay for their care.

And if they couldn’t afford the insurance, they couldn’t afford the house—and should have cashed out earlier.

The problem is millions were buying health insurance but will now be unable to afford it.
