Obama “loyalty” tests: Will you lie for me to Congress and the media? Will you commit to firing on unarmed American citizens?
/spit
PS I know the article is satire. The above is not.

Chuck Hagel has been reading too many books about”Uncle Joe”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hagel emphasized that whether or not these officers assessment of the situation was correct is not the point. Their open disagreement with their commanding officer is. President Obama needs to feel secure in the knowledge that the officers under his command have his back. By contradicting the official story on Benghazi these men left the president vulnerable to attack from his enemies in Congress and the media. Disloyalty of this magnitude is a dereliction of duty that we cannot, in good conscience, let slide. this is very concerning. in military matters, if the 'commander in chief' makes a mistake of that magnitude, it must be made known.

Almost twice in one day I didn’t discover it was satire. This time I caught it in the penultimate paragraph.
I say again, in our current dystopia, it is almost impossible to create a parody.

They should have to be in the front lines of any war—face the steel and bullets and cannon fire!

Why ruin the fun? I love it when people here take the bait and run with it.

You have been here awhile. Remember when people used to post Onion articles and some people here would go nuts thinking it was real?

Hits home John - we have a fairly new squadron commander and a really green flight commander. Due to certain policies/philosophies that are destroying morale among our folks, a few of us supervisors approached the flight commander to discuss - he immediately got his back up and asked if he had our full support. The rest were shocked into silence so I told him that my peers and my people had my support - he would get it as soon as I saw an indication that we also had his support. He told me that's not how it works (I'm a civilian with a good record so "it works" a bit differently that if I were still military). Since he doesn't know the legal standards he has to work under, I was content to sit back and wait to see how his next attack came. Some of the others were so stressed they went to the commander who said she had heard rumors and may have to "mentor" the guy. Let's face it, if a commander knows one of her folks is trashing a third of the unit's morale (productivity always follows), and does nothing without folks going to her first, she's worthless as a leader. The jury is still out on whether she actually follows through. I'm fortunate enough to be retiring in one year - under civilian rules, I would have to do something pretty bad to get get canned so I can still try to be a buffer between the guy and my folks (both civilian and military). The insane asylum took over about 15 years ago.
At any rate, that's why I love your stuff; it is so close to reality that it takes a second to figure out it's satire.
