It really seems to me that our public servants have forgotten their position and reason for existing.

Might be that they need to be reminded in a nice, polite and civil manner that they serve us, and that we do not serve them.

Charlie Reese: "We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!"

That ship has sailed. Voting only encourages them.

You are SO correct. If he gets elected it will be because of Norfolk, Richmond and the close-in DC suburbs. He is most definitely not Virginian and never will be. He saw how The Hildebeast used New York, and he wants to do the same here. Watch for him to run with Thunder Thighs as her VP.

There is something that Dims are unable to realize with their severely limited brains. Picking cotton is something that can be learned very quickly (I speak as an expert) some people are much better at it than others but most people can learn to do a passable job in about five minutes. That is the kind of work slaves can be forced to do to avoid being beaten and starved. A physician requires a little more time to learn the job. All the beating and starving that can be done will never force someone to be a physician, a veterinarian, a mathematician, an engineer, an electrician, etc., if it would then old time plantation owners would have had their own veterinarians and physicians in the slave quarters.

The government has the doctors by the b***s. On a whim, any state Board of Medicine can yank or restrict the license of any doctor through administrative dictate. It is governed by administrative law so the doctors have no chance when push comes to shove. The only things a doctor can do is move out of that state or retire. Many will if this sort of slavery advances down the pike. Stay healthy...it may prove to be your only recourse.

but 95% of those over 50 are making plans

And, because of changes in medical school enrollment and in work rules, we have a curious inverted work hours pyramid.

Physicians 50-60 work more that those 40-50, who in turn work more than those 30-40.

So, when a 50+ physician retires, he will need two replacements.

Well, unless they decide to make life insurance more affordable

IMHO their is an inextricable link between the GM bankruptcy / bondholder haircut, the Sebilius Mandate, and now Health Insurance "Contracts". I.E. the total destruction of Contract Law, and it has gone unnoticed and unabated. Who will stop them from going after Life Insurance and Annuity "Contracts" ?????

Freedom is dead to RATs. Look for massive retirements and relocations of doctors if such a thing is approved.

"I quit when medicine was placed under State control, some years ago. Do you know what it takes to perform a brain operation? Do you know the kind of skill it demands, and the years of passionate, merciless, excruciating devotion that go to acquire that skill? That was what I would not place at the disposal of men whose sole qualification to rule me was their capacity to spout the fraudulent generalities that got them elected to the privilege of enforcing their wishes at the point of a gun. I would not let them dictate the purpose for which my years of study had been spent, or the conditions of my work, or my choice of patients, or the amount of my reward. I observed that in all the discussions that preceded the enslavement of medicine, men discussed everything—except the desires of the doctors. Men considered only the 'welfare' of the patients, with no thought for those who were to provide it."

Doctor Thomas Hendricks, from Ayn Rand's novel "Atlas Shrugged"

Just had a run in with one of them, he talked to my husband who could not answer his questions, and is use to language issues cause he is a ret. prof. as well as Ret. SCPO. But he would not talk to me the patient.

The only cure for that is to complain to the doc's bosses, frequently and loudly. Force them to get rid of the damned Muslims.

Don’t you just love it when the government forces people to do stuff? It’s all fun & games until somebody gets shipped off to the gulag, or until thirty percent of your doctors retire.

Is it 1776 yet?

("Is it 1776 yet" is the new "Who is John Galt?")
