These Canadian education bureaucrats should feel hoarably sorey about what they’re doing.
But they won’t.
Canadian Nanny State PING, eh?
What is funniest about this story is that the mother involved was ON THE BOARD THAT VOTED FOR THIS!!!
Talk about “Hoist upon one’s own petard”!
I just took a “Wellness Assessment” prepared by an affiliate of the Insurance company, providing coverage for employees of our corporation.
Aside from the looney tunes attempt to psychoanalyze me, via multiple choice questions, it also looks at dietary and health history data to make a broad assessment.
Two major annoyances:
1 - They want to know how many days per week do I have 5 or more servings of fresh fruits and vegetable????
NONE!!! I’m allergic to MOST fresh fruits and vegetables!!
But, there is no provision to convey that little detail, or how I compensate for that restriction.
2 - Regarding my bout with Cancer, they want to know if it’s still “being managed”?
There is no way to convey that was 7 years ago and I’m in full remission.
Yet, they feel free to score me and then share a bunch of motherly basics from your 8th grade health book.
