Has the NFL brass lost their minds? Now their increasing political correctness is extending to opposing gun rights.
Daniel Defense, one of the nations leading manufacturers and retailers in the firearms industry, was willing to pay top dollar for a commercial in the 2014 NFL Super Bowl. But the commercial -- emphasizing personal responsibility, family security, and fundamental rights -- was rejected due to the rules the NFL has set into place for [Daniel Defenses] category, according to Guns & Ammo.
But Daniel's Defense does not even violate them...
The NFLs Advertising Policy addresses several Prohibited Advertising Categories, including guidelines for ads featuring alcohol, video games, movies, prescription drugs, and, of course, firearms. So the 62-second ad features NO firearms, and Daniel Defense was even willing to swap out the companys rifle logo at the end of the ad with an American flag -- but the NFL rejected them a second time. The firearms portion of the NFLs Prohibited Advertising Categories states:
5. Firearms, ammunition or other weapons are prohibited; however, stores that sell firearms and ammunitions (e.g., outdoor stores and camping stores) will be permitted, provided they sell other products and the ads do not mention firearms, ammunition or other weapons.
According to these guidelines, Daniel Defenses Super Bowl commercial does not violate NFL policy for two reasons:
·Daniel Defense has a brick-and-mortar store, where they sell products other than firearms such as apparel.
·The commercial itself does not mention firearms, ammunition or weaponry.
The ad complies will all league rules and regulations, but the NFL considers the ad to be too offensive to air.
Do you find this ad "offensive"...?

I am watching football with the sound muted...have done this all season, same with baseball last summer. Not only don’t have to hear ANY ads, also don’t have to hear the inane commentary. I keep Pandora running on the side. Also, taping a lot if games to “fly by” the commercials. I’m amazed they are the same commercials over and over and over...if I gave you the same message 4 times an hour (or more) you’d tell me to STFU. In summary, you can have ads for alcohol, Viagra, incontenance, catheters, tampax, and even Obamacare, but not guns? I’m ROTFL.
I might watch another game when they have a “prostate cancer” awareness and wear colors for that.
We are long time football-Packers fans, but the NFL’s nutty rules and money grubbing is driving us away. They keep on tweaking the on field rules, where the ball is kicked, what is or isn’t pass interference, how tie games end... The concussion rules. Pretending players are not on ‘roids. A two hour sport now goes 3+ hours due to the endless commercials. The pink breast cancer was so in your face-what’s next? Promoting ObamaCare? Wait, the Baltimore Ravens got that tax money promo!
The guy carries a man-purse and it’s still to much testosterone for the NFL?
Looks like Roger Goodell is a RINO of the highest order.
Lock... and load, Bend?
I got your back, Matt... so, yeah!
You and Tom? Give me... a break!
He and I go way back. Way, way... way back--
Screw the weather, I say "Go!" History... will back you.
Must be an age thing, Bendy. Young folk in your time, just don't... understand us--
No, they... don't.
Well Bender honey you realize that he is married to former Fox news anchorbabe Jane Skinner I hear she is big lib
OHHH I haven’t hear anything on Puppy Bowl maybe they adverstie it get near by
I have to admit, I’m a little lost.
Surely... you jest... eh, Seven?
Stop calling me Shirley, Bend! Police Squad and I'll... take care of Roger the Hutt and his evil referees!
And I get my way with Jane... if I do, right?
You got it... Frank--
A hot lib, nonetheless.
Well, Google "Quigley Down Under" then... "Ike: Countdown to D-Day" and finally "Errol Flynn" yet further reading of My Wicked, Wicked Ways will explain a lot in vivid detail--
This move by the No Fun League (NFL) must be terribly upsetting to B. Hussein, who shoots a shotgun “all the time,” and of course to Joe “Shotgun” Biden.
Yup, the days of the “Shotgun Offense” in the NFL are indeed numbered, - - - sigh.
Ok.
GOPsterinMA, if I might, have a good stiff drink... then read my books The Moon's a Balloon and Bring On the Empty Horses or manage to get yourself born some 60 plus years ago.

I’ve had a couple beers tonight Bender, not exactly a stiff drink, but it still lubricates. :)
Well his daddy was a hell of a RINO.
There used to be a website called newsmeat that could show every famous person’s campaign contributions. It seems to be gone.
But I found this
http://www.opensecrets.org/news/2010/09/political-football-nfl.html
“Goodell’s beneficiaries include Republican U.S. Senate candidate Daniel Coats of Indiana ($2,000), Republican Rep. Dave Reichert of Washington state ($1,000), Republican Rep. Mary Bono Mack of California ($1,000) and Democratic Sen. Charles Schumer of New York ($1,000). The commish also donated $1,800 last year to Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley, a Democrat, who found herself on the business end of a bruising U.S. Senate special election that unheralded state Sen. Scott Brown ultimately won.”
Roger Goodell IS a huge Libtard and has been all his life from what I understand.
For the good of the NFL and the game of football in general, he needs to go! The sooner, the better.
“newsmeat” was excellent; thank you for that tidbit ‘bout ole Rog.
Uber-RINO; must be genetic.
His wife’s hot though.
