As much as I didn't want to I decided to apply for insurance through Obamacare because I could no longer afford my individual policy so I dropped it about a year ago. Thanks to Obamacare's earliest regulations the cost had already gone up considerably.

After weeks of trying to get on the web site I finally filled out a paper application 4 weeks ago. Still don't have confirmation in the mail but I did find out I was "eligible" through phone calls.

Eligible to pay full price, no subsidy. Because my income is too low.Yes, too low. Not too high. Too low. There is actually a lower limit to eligibility.

But I make too much for Medicaid. I'm one of the few that falls into a gap that leaves me SOL.
