Someone said (I don't recall the source) that when the Republican Party is the Party of Ideas, it wins.

Ideas lead to principles. Principles lead to not backing down. The contrapositive is the logical equivalent....backing down is a lack of principles. And a lack of principles is a lack of ideas.
