Another Obama success story

Sorry, but Fallujah was lost the day Bush chose Door #2, as I thought he would.

His use of the term "war" was correct, but that's the only thing that he was right about.

You're right -- which is why that whole Iraq campaign was a debacle from Day One.

It's surprising how little Americans learned from the Lyndon Johnson administration. You don't let some @sshole from Texas launch a military campaign in a Third World sh!t-hole and expect to get any positive results from it.

Jim, I'm amazed by your Sept 13, 2001 post, the one that you linked to in this thread (your post #7 here). You saw the situation perfectly back then, and what you predicted has, sadly, come true.

And both you and grania are correct. Afghanistan and Iraq were Bush II's to win or lose. But Bush wouldn't make the really tough decisions. And so we will lose both wars.

Al-Qaeda is able to return to Iraq because Bush never destroyed them.

To blame Obama now is like blaming Nixon or Ford for the loss of Vietnam. Vietnam belonged to LBJ. Iraq and Afghanistan belong to Bush.
