I literally STUDIED the whole situation before we got into Iraq the second time. I came to the conclusion that it was right to go in. I read a lot about Saddam’s nuke plans and his progress with chemicals. I definitely believe / know he had WMDs. I saw connections with terrorism, that broken passenger plane they practiced with in the desert, the Oklahoma City Iraqi connection. I was freaking thorough. I ended up supporting the war.
All those guys died. And now, literally for naught -— though their bravery, patriotism, and heroism remains forever true.
We should never support wars without ENDING STRATEGIES. Not exit strategies. Turning tail and retreating is easy. ENDING STRATEGY means the enemy is not going to slap you again because his arm has been blown right off.
