Oh yeah, a $100 thousand BMW versus a $1.6 million supercar. That’s a fair test!
No kidding, kinda like racing a ford focus and a corvette.
Pretty sure I can hand 1.6 million to the guys down the street and pick up a car that could easily blow ANY factory made car off the road, and still be street legal. Barely.
Then again, that is pretty much all they do. For another 1.6 million, you’d probably get a matching truck and trailer to haul your prize around the country as well. :)
Heh, that was a fair comparison alright.
Of course, money matters a lot. But Volkswagen and such companies aren’t exactly financially weak.
They put money into this race and came out as losers.
The question; How come has such a small firm managed to get ahead of all other car manufacturers of Europe, DESPITE its tiny size?
Volkswagen disposes of makes like Lamborghini, Porsche and Bugatti, over 100 manufacturing plants, thousands of engineers and still get ridiculed time after time by a bunch of Viking pioneers not easily intimidated by names like “Ferrari”, “Lamborghini” and “BMW”.
