Pray for what? God has spoken about the cesspool that we see the world turning into - why ask Him to delay His return to defeat the Evil One and his minions by making things "better" for a while?
Not a slam - I often get conflicted between the Human condition and the Spiritual condition - we want what we want as far as true Constitutional Conservatism and Christian values, but if that were to occur and spread, the world would not likely deteriorate enough for Him to have to return.
Trust in Him, but don't ask Him to thwart what He has promised - we will sink into the slime and our only real duty will be to spread His Word to any who might listen and be saved. On the other hand....
I pray for strength, I pray for understanding so that I may do the right thing. That’s all I’m willing to share— my prayers are personal.
