Not bad for a disc jockey who washed out of Community College. Harvard is overrated.

One of the great things about Rush, is that his AM radio presence, non-college degreed, and blunt, pseudo-non-serious style, makes it so that anyone who takes themselves too seriously (aka serious Liberals) just can’t listen to him—and so assumes he’s an idiot.

Then every now and again, ammidst the usual banter (he can go on on a subject for all 3 hours...), he comes out with these brilliant insights....which unless you’re humble, and willing to hear, you’ll completely miss.

I used to work with some ivy-league educated economic/economist types. Most would dismiss Rush Limbaugh with a huff....just as they’d been taught in college—EVEN THOUGH THESE PEOPLE WERE CONSERVATIVE.

I’d ask why—and they’d answer, “Well, you know, Rush Limbaugh is just not considered educated, and well-informed enough to really know anything...”

Then I’d reply, “Oh really? Have you yourself listened to him?”

They’d inevitably reply, “Umm, well, no.”

One of the smartest guys I ever had the pleasure to work for, the late Robert Novak, would listen with a smile to Rush regularly...
