Having kids and getting married are considered life milestones. We have baby showers and wedding parties as if it’s a huge accomplishment and cause for celebration to be able to get knocked up or find someone to walk down the aisle with. These aren’t accomplishments, they are actually super easy tasks, literally anyone can do them. They are the most common thing, ever, in the history of the world. They are, by definition, average. And here’s the thing, why on earth are we settling for average?

I agree about getting ‘knocked up’ and having kids. A woman certainly can do that out of wedlock and so can a man obviously.

But getting married? I’ve seen so many articles and books about how hard it is to find a good man to be a husband.

Oh well, in her world I wish her the best and pray that men stay out of it. I do think she will be saying something entirely different when she is in her late forties and beyond.

It's not hard if you do it in your 20's, preferably early 20's.

Some women go though their 20's rejecting good and decent men, preferring to share their beds with exciting "alpha" males who are fine with having sex with them, but have no interest in marrying them. Then they get into their 30's, and discover that the good men have already been taken by women with more foresight.
