Victor Davis Hanson, I believe, the other day penned a piece in which he referred to ‘Irish democracy’. This is the situation in which a large part of the ruled start disregarding the rulers.

The death of a thousand cuts for the ruling class.

It is so simple. DISOBEY. Henry David Thoreau says it best, “If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.”... My dad wrote that quote down for me and kept it all these years. Dad’s gone but the quote and what it mean stays.
