I wonder if they will lose customers by doing this?
I’ve never like the CVS pharmacy in my neighborhood-—I like Walgreen’s much better.
I like CVS better than Walgreen’s but hated it when CVS bought out Long’s Drugs.
Yeah, CVS has said they expect to lose about $2 billion per year in revenue, and their Executive Vice President has said “its obvious that the average person will just find somewhere else to buy cigarettes.”
While I can’t fault CVS, a private company, for voluntarily doing what they think is right even when it will hurt their bottom line, I do wonder whether this will inspire the left to submit state and federal bills saying that stores that provide pharmaceutical or other medical services can’t sell cigarettes.
