Adolf von Henselt

Adolf von Henselt was a German composer and pianist,
born at Schwabach, Bavaria. He began to learn the violin at
the age of three and the piano at five. As he got a
financial help from King Ludwig I of Bavaria, he went to
study under Johann Nepomuk Hummel in Weimar for some months,
and then moved to Vienna in 1832, where, along with studying
composition, he made a great success as a concert pianist.
