Here is an example of a hand embroidered design that is essentially reversible. With a negative of the front pattern showing on the underside. When they folded back the pall to open the casket lid the underside was exposed.

That’s basically a weave on aida cloth. When that strip is done being woven, with its frings at both ends, how would it be affixed to a pall leaving no frings? Describe the method of getting that attached to the pall neatly.
