PHOENIX (AP) The most popular member of the Milwaukee Brewers at spring training is a rookie who comes with pedigree, an excellent clubhouse presence and good legs.
Four legs, in fact. Along with a button nose and scruffy, white fur.
Hank the dog may be the early lock for camp MVP Most Valuable Pet.
"Yeah, he's making a pretty big impact, which I've got to say is pretty cool," pitcher Yovani Gallardo said. "It's getting a lot of attention, for sure. I think he likes it, too."

I hope the Brewers win it all this year...at least I’ve just become a fan of the team and I’ll be rooting for them this year!

How did that little guy become a stray? You’d think his family would be desperately looking for him.

People toss unwanted dogs from cars onto the road, leaving them to their fate. Sounds crappy but it happens more often than you think.

How did that little guy become a stray? Youd think his family would be desperately looking for him. The Brewers' camp is in a neighborhood of Phoenix called Maryvale -- one of the more run-down sections of the city.
The residences are about 80% apartments, mostly low-middle class, mostly Hispanic.

Sounds crappy but it happens more often than you think. One of the best dogs we ever owned was a cock a poo, that someone left by the side of the road out in the middle of the sticks. We went out to check on some property we owned and there the little fella was, just waiting for us to adopt him into the family.

Good for Hank! Guess this means that Ryan Braun is no longer the clubhouse dog.
