I didn’t know Rand Paul was for gay marriage. This must be the Libertarian DNA and not the Christian DNA in Rand.

This anti traditional marriage would only be important if folks know about it.

Rand Paul fails on the Amnesty front

Can you point us to even one pro-amnesty vote from Rand Paul. Just one, should be easy if he fails so hard on this issue. I don't want words, I want to see votes.

to the state level

The way it should be. If you support a federal ban on gay marriage, how can you argue against a federal law forcing gay marriage on the states? It should be a state issue.

I was kind of disappointed. I’d really liked him up until I heard this...

RKBA is my starter issue. No one passes through onto other topics until they pass that one...

Well from the looks of things way too many out there are looking for that impossible candidate who meets all of the diverse litmus criteria, walks on water and gives the sun its glow.

Conservatives as a whole will again become balkanized by democrat lies and dirty tricks against strong conservative candidates and the GOPe does the same. The single-minded among us will push aside support on any candidate who does not meet or seem to meet all of their stringent criteria and in the end will sit out another election because selection was left solely to the GOPe thus assuring the election of a hildebeeste.

You can’t blame it solely on the GOPe because the single-minded pursuit of a Reagan reincarnate will doom any serious support for good conservative candidates who may have some warts.

And no, I don’t count the likes of Christie, the Huckster, and other GOPe darlings as good conservative candidates.

Damnit...

Doesn’t ANYONE know how to use a simple search engine?

http://www.edgeboston.com/index.php?ch=news&sc=&sc2=news&sc3=&id=156184

“I believe in the historic and religious definition of marriage,” Paul said. “I also believe this power belongs to the states and the people, not the federal government. It is illegitimate for the federal courts to intrude here.”

Rove candidate doing bad Jeb, Crispy Cream, Rubio, all doing poor. I heard they are even thinking of Romney again.

Conservatives need a convention next winter after the mid term election and pick a conservative ticket to run again the GOPe annointed candidate.

Last presidential primary Nute and Santorum knocked eachother out dividing the conservative vote letting Romney
win with less than 50%

Cruz/Rand/Palin/Nugent/West.

Pick two. Any two.

I’m trying to find out are Gen. Mattis comes down on a few issues, but I might start adding his name to that list too.

Put a Marine in charge. I double dog dare you. :-)

CPAC picked Paul but Cruz is at 57% on the site poll right now with Paul in the single digits. Looks like even CPAC is looking to lose.

Which site?

One phrase:

14th Amendment's Equal Protection Clause.

Both Abortion and Marriage have to be protected at the Federal Level as an Amendment to overcome the objections raised by those with no morality who would try to subvert our nation and our culture.

Cruz lost 4% in minutes

That is the effect of Paul organization.

Before I told you where to find the link it was the general public that put Cruz ahead not Pauliacs stuffing the ballot and distorting public polls.

Now the results will change, but remember ITS THE FOLKS WHE DECIDE ELECTIONS NOT A CLICK OF POTHEADS

Cruz/Palin or Palin/Cruz, either way.

Since I was an enlisted Marine and am a retired AF officer there is not necessarily a dare that is needed.

I am however, leery of former generals as president. I haven’t refreshed my memory on Mattis lately but from what I remember he has possibilities. We’ll see.

Senior military officers (flag officers) primarily get to the higher ranks based largely on their political abilities and connections and in many cases not at all on their leadership abilities. Too many are true politicians with little or no knowledge of the issues important to the lower ranks on the line and certainly wouldn’t know much about needs and issues of real taxpaying citizens. McClelland was wimpy southern sympathizer who was inept but supremely arrogant. Likewise, MacArthur was a product of his connections and the PR surrounding him, most of which he generated for himself. There was never a successful operation he didn’t take credit for or an unsuccessful one which he would take credit for. He despised the Marines in the Pacific because he felt they received all of the glory that should have gone to him and “his” army. Today we have the likes of Clapper, Powell, and other perfumed princes who will lie, dissemble, and make any statements that they believe will further their careers.

I served with and around a number of them and I would not vote for them.

Like religious privacy I keep my politics to myself, unless I am in the voting booth.

Not trying to be nasty but what the heck is religious privacy?

You’re right about the idea of an early conservative convention to choose candidates ahead of the GOPe picks. As early as possible and when selected go all out without reservations to push the selected candidates over any GOPe opposition.

Like I said, I need to do more research. I do like his style though.

“I come in peace. I didn’t bring artillery. But I’m pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you f*ck with me, I’ll kill you all.”

I do not discuss religion with anyone. My wife of 30+ years does not even know my religious beliefs. Does that answer your question?
