I would keep checking on the Iranians, but so far their story checks out. Family and friends waiting in Europe for them to join them, seem to be dissidents leaving for a better life. I would check the pilot mostly, the one with great knowledge of the working of the 777 and the simulator at home. With a colleague among the passengers, they could subdue the copilot and disable the communications without the passengers knowing. The copilot apparently had a habit of letting passengers into the cockpit, so it would not be unusual to have someone allowed in. Otherwise, the crew would be alerted. Once communications were disabled, they could lock the cockpit door, give some BS announcement over the intercom, and start flying. The questions are where and why.
It was well after midnight. No need for announcements. The passengers would be asleep. It would have taken an astronomer, or a frequent flier, to notice that the Moon is not in the right position.
Suspect the two Iranians traveling with stolen passports are homosexuals seeking asylum from any number of muslim punishments, including execution.
Those questions seem as though we’ve been asking them for weeks by now.
Resolution I want some dang resolution...
