She had no idea The National Rifle Association was created by former Union soldiers to teach blacks how to use firearms to defend themselves from Klan violence. I told her this was necessary because the first gun control laws passed in America were passed by Democrats to prevent blacks from owning guns.

I suspect the above truth will never be included in a black studies class... Thanks for sharing.

You’re welcome.While the Klan in and of itself terrorized and even killed blacks it’s real agenda was to prevent blacks from voting. The Klan knew blacks sure wouldn’t be voting for Democrats.
