I’ve seen photos of soldiers jumping with their dogs. The dogs don’t jump by themselves...they are usually tandem-strapped to their handlers. They are in physical contact with their handlers the whole way down.

They are in physical contact with their handlers the whole way down.There is a linked article that talks about SEAL dogs. They do both tandem and Solo. They most often do Solo into water.
