Rick Snyder likes to point to Herbert Dow as the example of an immigrant starting a multi billion dollar company. However a little simple research shows that Dow immigrated with his parents at 6 weeks old and didn’t found Dow Chemical till more than 30 years later.
Dow’s parents were Americans living and working in Canada and his father was already employed when they returned.
