Been there, done that, during the swine flu epidemic. I didn't have swine flu. But once they put me in quarantine, I couldn't get out for four days.

Scary stuff. People have NO CLUE just how much power the government has in an ‘emergency’, whether real or not.
They did the same thing years ago to my son because he’d been in another hospital where another patient had a contagious disease (our son wasn’t exposed). He was, nonetheless, quarantined for two weeks. I really think it had more to do with the vulnerability of other patients in the pediatric hospital.
It depends on the area. I got to experience the H1N1 flu up close. It sucked, but they didn’t admit me.
Honestly, I think they should have. My fever was such that if not for a lot of asprin, tylenol, and Advil I wouldn’t be here today.
Those laws are in place so we don’t end up with another Black Death.
medical quarantine is a good thing in terms of the public health, sucks for an individual, but when you are trying to prevent the next black plague, you do what you have to do.
The reality is the most powerful person in the united states in terms of limiting your personal freedom is the Surgeon General... and most folks have no idea.
