Not sure what the writer’s point is, but I’m sure it misses the point completely.
It’s amateur hour Alinsky tactics.
“Not sure what the writers point is, but Im sure it misses the point completely.”
Poorly written, but the point is that Bundy didn’t follow the law and got away with it.
Burning Man is an annual festival held on public land and they pay millions in BLM fees every year. BLM also places very strict limits on number of people, traffic, garbage, etc.
So this guy is saying “since the law doesn’t matter, we can have a festival for free with unlimited people on public land!”
It all boils down to the bigger questions: Should feds indefinitely own and administer so much land? Shouldn’t the land be private and free to use by the owner?
I think the land should be open to public bid.
As a side note, I’ve been to Burning Man 4 times and so have many other FReepers. You can not judge the festival as a whole from what you read. It is really unlike anything else in the world and there is something for everyone. Last time, I spend the entire time in lectures and workshops that I wouldn’t find anywhere in one place.
He’s trying to mock Bundy by misrepresenting Bundy’s argument. It’s easy to do, very easy.
When she shows that they have been having the burning man festival for the last 130 years, long before the BLM existed, I will consider listening to her.
Just another fact free leftist.
