Homosexual dalliance? I have never heard or read that he was unfaithful to Lady Clementine at all, much less with men.

I seem to remember a reference. I could be wrong.

I’m sure his reputation will survive any uninformed or unintentional slander on my part.

Wait! You’re referencing Winston?

Wine-posting will get one into all sorts of trouble.

The old memory clicked in and I will not seek out the actual information. It was at Sandhurst where the elite British trained as officers. Young men at about 18 years of age and up.

A case was brought regarding a young man who did not have the money or connections to get into the College. He was awarded a scholarship as a new application to open up the academy to lesser class youth.

There was a sort of initiation ceremony which involved Churchill and his upper crust friends. I have to be fair here. I will certainly delve into the matter with this great innovation, the internet.

I understand there was an enquiry and Churchill sued and won in court over slander. The slander was that sexual indignities were visited on the unfortunate youth as part of the initiation. It has been seen that these asinine practices still continue in certain Universities even in the United States.
