Was there something earlier in the video? It sounded like something you could get McCain to say. I remain unimpressed until I see him in action. Until then, he’s all talk.

He is a legislator, not a soldier as you are. All he can do is call each witness, swear him/her in, ask them questions, and hope this proceeding gets enough national play on non-cable TV networks to make a difference in our National education about Benghazi.
Not sure how you mean "see him in action". You mean hand-to-hand, no-holds-barred, last-man-standing?
So very much of this is out of Gowdy's hands. His committee which he doesn't select personally, is lower in authority than Ken Starr's. If the media is successful in minimizing this committee's efforts, as the media has already telegraphed, there may not be all that much action to see.
FReepers would do well to make more time to pray and to contact local TV stations asking for gavel-to-gavel coverage on at least one of the main networks all the time.
If these hearings are relinquished to C-SPAN only, you may find that you were correct in your post today: Gowdy, by himself, cannot bring on all the action. Not with FIVE Democrat Protectors of Obama on the same committee.
