Chinatowns are tourist destinations in many American cities. If the biggest Chinatown of all can rise out of the ruins of Detroit, wouldn’t that be a good thing?
If the alternative is that Detroit remains a wasteland, I think we should look at this idea and allow Chinese investment.
I really doubt that many of the Chinese who would get these investor visas would actually come to the U.S., much less settle in Detroit. Many of the Chinese applying for investor these only want them as a bolthole if (when) China blows up. Canada recently rejected all of the Chinese applications for their investor visas.
As long as these new immigrants 1) Don’t limit non Chinese from both moving and interacting in old Detroit, and 2) Are loyal to the USA and not the Chi-com government. Either of these two are violated and we HAVE A BIG problem!
