USDA Announces More 'Flexibility' For Next Year's School Meals

Just a day after House Republicans introduced legislation to roll back some Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations on school meal programs, the USDA announced some flexibility would be granted to some schools for the coming school year when implementing the new policies:

The Dept. of Education threaten to cut off funds to States that refuse to toe the line on meals?

If that’s the case it’s a golden opportunity for a State to rid itself of the shackles of the Fed. intrusion into their education.
No money from the Fed ? Don’t send them any.
It’s so stupid, the State sends the Fed. money, the Fed sends some back, (minus all the expenditures associated with the Fed Bureaucracy).
Why not the State keep it all ? Make sense?
