Phil Robertson recently spoke at a Republican Leadership conference in New Orleans and had some choice words for the White House and the GOP at the same time:
The New Orleans Advocate Phil Robertson, star of the A&E networks hit reality television series Duck Dynasty, came to New Orleans on Thursday preaching the Bible and the gun to a group of jubilant Republicans.
He had a few words for President Barack Obama as well. Were up against evil like Ive never seen in my life, he said. Im sitting there and Im thinking, Whats coming out of the White House? The only thing I can tell you folks is its just downright embarrassing.

What kind of underhanded slap is this?
He is so right. I have never in my life seen things as bad as they are now. Other people I talk to confirm the SAME thing. Something bad is about to happen with all of this promotion of evil as being okay. This can NOT continue.
There is no doubt about it, but the G0P is evil too.
You are right. So is Phil. It is so important to call evil by its name(s). IMO moral relativism is the basis of the rot that is so prevalent in humankind today. Probably it has always been so, and I should be grateful it’s so easy to expose nowadays.
Phil Robertson for President! And for Pope.
Even with a Master’s degree, he speaks plainly and clearly.
Even with a Master’s degree, he speaks plainly and clearly.
Can’t wait to hear the MSNBC crowd and the Daily Kos crowd respond to this.
They think that “evil” is racism, sexism, homophobia, being against global warming, being in favor of voter ID, etc.
These liberals have no concept of the evils Phil is speaking of, because in their world view, evil is someone who opposes liberalism.
The GOP had a moral core once. Its height was reached under Reagan. He fought the Eastern blue-blood Rockefeller establishment statists (which included the Bushes), but the rot started coming back with Poppy, and it's been all downhill since then.
Nationally, maybe, for Presidential Elections, for a handful of Senators, McCain, McConnel, maybe.
On the other hand, GOP to me, has some very good things going on, abortion is really being hammered down in a number of states, the Bible Belt in general and a few other places.
We do have some decent politicians like Cruz, Palin, Bachmann, Gohmert, Sessions, Mike Lee...and others, there are some decent governors.
So, I don’t think all is lost but I think we need to do like Robertson says, have some moral backbone.
Sure, it can be a lot lot better.
Oh, yes, per MSNBC, I hit one gym once in awhile and they have multiple tvs, I have already seen them speak about Robertson. Well, it’s a bit like what Ted Cruz told Rush, if they are throwing stones at you, you’re probably doing something right.
Helping Al-Qaeda take over countries? Helping them kill our vets and Ambassador? Destroying the US healthcare system? Denying vets health care while allowing a traitor a sex change? Allowing a Marine to rot in prison in Mexico while releasing 36,000 Mexican illegals convicted of felonies into the US? Arming Mexican drug gangs? Allowing the IRS to harass people because of their political beliefs?
Evil? What evil?
” I have never in my life seen things as bad as they are now.”
Generations have said this about the new generations forever. But in this case, you are SPOT ON!!
To some extent, yes. But generally, the GOP is faaaar better than the Rats and liberals.
One doesn’t have to be religious to understand the concept, and recognize the obvious existence, of evil.
We are confronted with evil, not simple differences of opinion or philosophy. We are not wrestling with an opposition that wants the best for all, but has a different idea of how to accomplish that. The GOPe either does not recognize that or it is indeed part of it. I lean toward the latter. These men have sold their souls, they are owned and subjugated by this evil.
Unless or until sufficient people come to understand that, we will continue to be on the losing side.
How well the Party does in November (and how many conservatives - you know, the ones that post turtle McConnell said he'd work to "crush" - sit out) will be an indication.
No, they aren’t, because the GOP is also rats and liberals.
You could say that the rank and file are not this way, but they are also a problem, because they have been lied to, and they believe those lies with everything that they are.
Just as there are democrat drones, there are also GOP drones, and both of those drones support the same thing, and that thing is government.
Throw Robertson along with Goudy and West into the mix and the you have a very, very good list for Presidential people. Not necessarily as Republicans.
