“Wait a minute,” Matthews responded. “Wait a minute. Swift-boating is totally misused here. Swift-boating is when you make up stories and misconstrue the evidence — you don’t like the way John Kerry opposed the Vietnam War when he came back and turned it into an attack on his service over there. Totally dishonest.”

Nope. It's the same thing. Eye-witness soldiers speaking truth to power and exposing a sham - that's swift-boating.Interesting how those soldiers from Vietnam were dishonest but these soldiers are not. How does he know? He must be a mind-reader

You are correct. Those stories were not lies and Matthews knows it. He’s off his meds.

As I have have posted elsewhere we must not forget the fact that
Kerry brought the swift boat issue down on himself. He tried to play
the “I went to Vietnam and you didn’t” card against a sitting president,
GW Bush. And Kerry had the balls to try this stunt after supporting a
known Vietnam War draft dodger named Clinton when Clinton ran
against a WWII combat fighter pilot, GHW Bush. The Democrats had
already taken the veteran vs non veteran issue off the table when
Clinton was first elected in ‘92. Kerry tried to put it back on the
table for himself in ‘04 and got burned trying.
