The majority of Californians are at best 2nd or 3rd generation Americans. A near majority if not a majority of Californians have Mexican relatives. Some live with their illegal parents. We’re at the point where they’re going to support US funds going to their relatives.

The thing we were told would never told is happening. A US state is now working against Americans for the benefit of non-Americans. All due to unrestrained illegal immigration.

was aimed at saving state and local governments roughly $200 million due to reduced costs for public social services, health care and higher education.

This seems to defy logic. How can state and local governments save money by increasing spending on public social services for millions of illegal aliens? Or is that just the way the Liberal mind works?

It's sort of like the old joke where the wife comes home from a day of shopping carrying 15 dresses. Her husband wants to know why she needs 15 dresses and she proudly announces, "I don't, but I saved a ton of money! They were on sale!"

Calif , is passing their own set of immigration laws

Wait! Mariana Pfaelzer said a state can't make an immigration law, and Gray Davis refused to appeal it!

We de-Governorized him over that. Among other things.

Kinda makes me want to grag a bag of popcorn, a beer, a lawnchair, and plop that chair down right on the California border and watch the show.

...the illegal aliens have taken over the state.

I live near the border in CA. Most people in other parts of the US have no idea how numerous Mexicans (yes, they're mostly Mexicans) are down here. What percentage are illegal is anybody's guess. Americans, especially white Americans, not only are outnumbered everywhere one goes, but Spanish is heard everywhere, as are seen signs in Spanish, often to the exclusion of English. Clerks sometimes can barely be understood, their English is so rudimentary.

Good! Other states should deport their illegals to California. Texas could gather up all the thousands of illegals being dumped there, and fly them to the socialist sanctuary of California.

Actually, I hope they do repeal the law. California is in such a dire situation where businesses are relocating to any other state due to excessive taxation and a hostile business environment. With increased public expenditures and a contracting base to draw on, it only hastens California’s demise and eventual collapse.

Maybe there is momentum among the elites, but among the middle and lower classes, not so much....

“Calif , is passing their own set of immigration laws. How they can afford this and take care of citizens at the same time remains to be seen..”

See this CA thread from the other day...

CA will go down the socialist toilet even faster. I don’t know how long Caucasian entrepreneurial Californians who are able to move out of state will be able to hold out but the rate of out-of-state flight is bound to increase, I would think.

I immigrated to CA in 1992 when I got a last-minute paid transfer out NJ within a sinking corporate ship (Digital Equipment Corp) but then I emigrated in 1994 to low cost Atlanta when I saw the writing on the wall in CA.

and their children, educated in our public school systems by LaRaza aficionados, are brainwashed into believing that California is still part of Mexico, so there is little real impetus to integrate into a melting pot and a very real impetus in rudely treating resident caucasian Californians as the invaders, instead of themselves.

Yeah, well, California also had a Constitutional amendment that recognized biblical marriage.

You people in California are funny, thinking you’re smart enough to make your own rules. That is what your big daddy BO is for.

THE OTHER 49 STATES (yes, I’m yelling) decided it was fine for the border between the U.S. and Mexico to be erased. What did you care? No one was invading YOUR state (then)...

THE OTHER 49 STATES decided no one would be deported. And that California isn’t allowed to deport anyone.

THE OTHER 49 STATES decided that anyone who walks into an emergency room must be treated. So if we in California decide to treat illegal aliens in a setting other than the ER in order to save those bankrupt facilities for all Californians, it’s really none of your business.

So get off our back. You surrendered a giant piece of YOUR OWN COUNTRY without even token resistance. What, exactly, do you gain when you sit back and smile with glee at what your own shortsightedness, ignorance and cowardice has wrought? You “won?” You “beat” California? Your own countrymen? You all sound a little bit unhinged.

Enjoy the show. It’s coming to your state.

The more California pays, the bigger the federal tax deduction.

Republicans had a chance to eliminate the tax deduction for state and local taxes, but opposed it because it was a tax increase.

Morons.

Some people deserve to have their taxes increased if it means they'll be forced to pay for the programs they've advocated for!

This is coming from Sacramento.

If not for the democrat party (who, true enough, are in control because of the high number of knee jerk D voter here) and the judiciary the state wouldn't look quite so nuts.

It'd still be nuts here, but when issues are clearly defined voters here have proven they have a bit more sense than their representatives.
