“take us all hostage, make sure we can’t sell the house unless we take the Jefferson’s with us? “
My parents lived in a nice old neighborhood in Tampa. As the residents died off the city bought the houses cheap and made them Section 8. Next thing you know it was like a ghetto with drug deals on the corners. (The dealers use really young (10-ish) black kids who are armed. The cops really can’t do anything about them.) So, my parents were accosted in their own yard. My mom said little kids would stand at their back windows and watch her iron. My parents had lived there since 1954. We moved them to a house in a neighborhood that was so expensive it doesn’t yet have Section 8. Dad died two years ago at 95 and Mom is now 97. But all those old neighboods are now “Da Hood.”
Had a shooting across the street yesterday. Before long, all we'll have are criminals and the Obamaphone crowd.
