Susan Rice Turns Up at Normandy, Steps on Rake

Bryan Preston

Obama National Security Adviser Susan Rice is pretty unhappy at you people in the media. All she did was claim that a man the military believes deserted his post and wound up in the hands of the Taliban served in the military with “honor and distinction.”

We all misunderstood her. We thought “honor” and “distinction” actually meant something. Rice got cornered by CNN’s Jim Acosta at the Normandy invasion commemoration today, and he peppered her with questions about those two words.

(For you millennials who attended public schools where heroic American history is no longer taught, the Normandy invasion is kind of a big deal. Bigger than Kanye and Kim’s wedding, even. Seriously. You should ask your teachers why they didn’t tell you about it.)

Rice did her best to devalue both honor and distinction.

In a Sunday appearance on ABC’s This Week, Rice insisted that Bergdahl “served the United States with honor and distinction.”

“I realize there has been a lot of discussion and controversy around this,” Rice said of her remarks from Sunday. “What I was referring to is the fact that this was a young man who volunteered to serve his country in uniform at a time of war. That in itself is a very honorable thing.”

“But ‘honor and distinction?’” Acosta asked.

“Jim, really,” Rice replied. “This is a young man whose circumstances we are still going to learn about.”

“He is, as all Americans, innocent until proven guilty,” she continued.

Let’s pause right there, to note that Rice’s boss and his associates frequently call Republicans “terrorists” when refusing to negotiate with them. Her boss and his associates then negotiated with actual terrorists.

“He is now being tried in the court of public opinion after having gone through enormously traumatic five years of captivity. His parents, the same.”

So there you have it. While Susan Rice stood on soil won by the blood and toil of allied troops 70 years ago today, she devalued everything that they did. They served with honor and distinction and bravery and selflessness, and 9,000 of them died in that invasion. They defeated the Nazis and won our freedom.

What they did, and what Bowe Bergdahl did when he walked off his post, amount to the same thing in Susan Rice’s mind.

Mediaite has video of the exchange at the link above.

What are these dooshes doing at Normandy?

This is hallowed and sacred ground.

I know! They’re pissing, symbolically, of on American dead.

They don’t mean anything base or evil by doing so, it’s just in their nature.

I have all the respect in the world for this great president and this impeccable administration, and I trust that they have a very good, noble, pro-American reason for everything they do.

But I’m a bit confused why they considered it a ‘sacred’ duty to bring back a deserter whose desertion led to the deaths of several American soldiers...

...yet they completely abandoned that ‘sacred’ duty when one of our ambassadors and several American soldiers were under fire at Benghazi and ended up being murdered by our enemies.

Oh well. What difference, at this point, does it make?

(Obvious sarc with the intro. And obviously a rhetorical question. “Sacred” to them is anything that destroys America and promotes the New World Socialist/Communist/Fascist Order.)

“Susan Rice Turns Up at Normandy, Steps on Rake”

The best headline in a long time. I hope it hit her in the balls.

What does any dem know about honor, they are the least honorable people I have ever met or heard of. When their mouth opens you can expect a lie.

These communist Muslims turn my stomach. I gave away my tv so I would not have to watch them but it seems they are everywhere, they used to be like termites you could hear them working in the walls but you don’t see them, now they have become bold and they are coming out into light.

The bad thing is they are out the good thing is you can see em to stomp em. Always wise to stomp em before the house falls.

I actually did that a week ago. Well, the rake was leaning up against a fence, and not flat on the ground, but otherwise I did that.

It REALLY hurts.

Cut her a break, her role model for “honor & distinction” is John F’n Kerry.

Hey, hey; ho, ho.
Kerry: sign the one-eight-oh.

Let’s see how the Navy initially classified Kerry’s “honor & distinction.”

Innocent until proven guilty? Is that why zero signed a drone strike kill order against an American? No trial was given to that citizen!
