The BIG issue here isn't Bergdahl, it's Obama's releasing five crazed lunatic officials who have the capacity to mobilize a whole bunch of crazies who would love nothing more than destroy America and American lives.
Obama has given aid and comfort to our sworn enemies. THAT is the issue here.

Every other American soldier expected his head to be on a pike if he was in the hands of the Taliban. Whining about solitary confinement went you purposively put yourself in harms way is outside my ability to commiserate.
First, solitary confinement without natural light destroys all sense of time. Without outside corroboration, two months or two years are indistinguishable.
There is little reason to believe this account.
Second, there is little chance he would be sane enough after two full years in those conditions to discuss anything coherently.
Third, I doubt any Taliban command could afford to stay put for two years anywhere in Afghanistan.

What about the poor Afghan farmers and journalists who were just trying to show some hospitality to Bergdahl? They play soccer with him. They go target shooting with him. They let him have the prettiest goats. He was teaching them ballet and all the verses to I KISSED A GOAT. Then he wants to go? Imagine the depression going through that area. The ransom money we paid will probably only cheer them up a little bit.
And Bergdahl is pecuniarily liable for that ransom money. That should keep the dumbass broke for forever.

It wasn’t solitary confinement — it’s just that no one wanted to be associated with him.
We do not know that this is true. We only have the word of the deserter Bergdahl, and the word of our sworn enemies in Afghanistan, for these assertions.
For all we know, Bergdahl could have been living it up with young goats and Dancing Boys.
To me, Bergdahl is as queer as a three-dollar bill. If he was in “solitary”, I bet he got conjugal visits every night from big hairy Arab men.
