Awesome, killing birds in the name of the environment is more important than vet care. It’s so nice to see an administration that has its priorities straight.

What can be done? There are no significant consequences for those responsible, at any level. Even if they lose their jobs, their pensions are secure. At Shinseki’s level, that amounts to a life of ease beyond what most of us can even imagine.

They don’t believe they’ve done anything wrong. Of course the environmentalist agenda, with all its huge costs for minimal or no benefit, is more important than any other use of the agency’s money. They’ll go on tv and claim with perfectly straight faces - and clear consciences - that they were deprived of the resources they needed to treat patients. That evil Republican Congress, “cutting spending”!

At every level of government, it’s exactly the same. Your local school board will say they’ve “cut the budget to the bone,” and on the facing page in the newspaper, they’ll tout their “green” initiatives. The public eats it up, at every level. Children can’t read, vets are dying? Well, you can’t Save the Earth without breaking a few eggs.

These $7 K each speed bumps were installed in state side Military Commissary and Exchange 5 mils per hr parking lots. 1-2 at each end of the rows. They are not small. I drive a Corolla coupe, my front wheels are barely over before the back are going over, you creep over them.

I can buy them at the gates, but in a 5 mph parking? And those are the ONLY 2 parking areas that got them! Guess seniors drive to fast for them. There are even restrictions on how you park, and speeding is a big no no on base.

Along with the speed bumps came a repave job not needed. And lawn statues of ship anchors not needed.

Let's be clear, this green energy mania is a vehicle for corruption.
The government is not trying to save the planet. They are looting the country.

From Link:

While Shinseki was focused on building solar panels so the sky wouldn’t fall, veterans were waiting months to see a doctor.

At some South Texas facilities vets had to wait 85 days for a primary care appointment and 55 days for a mental health appointment with “a worst-in-the-nation, 145-day average wait for new patients seeking specialist care”.

One of the vets waiting for a mental health appointment, who suffered from waiting list cheating, committed suicide.

Meanwhile the South Texas Veterans Health Care System installed a 1.7 MW solar PV system.

The Amarillo VA Health Care System had the third longest wait times for mental health appointments in the country. Its Thomas E. Creek office complained of a lack of resources. Meanwhile $10 million was spent on solar panels.

Hawaii has the longest waiting list for veterans with an average of 145 days for an appointment at the Spark M. Matsunaga VA Medical Center.

Meanwhile it was spending between $1 and $2 million on a 119 KW Solar PV System.
