I work at Home Depot, so I have the Home Depot app in case I need to look something up.

Has their in-house computer system/database gotten any easier to use? I recall that thing being just brutal.

Not to mention telemarketers.

On the do-not-call list and it doesn’t make a difference.

Telemarketers are EVIL.

The computers themselves aren’t too terrible, but the FirstPhones are a pain. We don’t have enough, and because they’re $1500 each, we can’t get any more. One of them is held together with tape.

Does it bother anyone other than me that many of these apps (including Waze) track personal information and utilize my camera and microphone as part of getting the app?

Yes, it bothers me. But not enough to stop using them.

My most used 3rd party app on the iphone is Alarm Clock Pro from iHandy. Beside being my nightstand alarm clock, I can pick it up and give it a quick shake and it becomes a light panel. Useful for when you don’t want to flip on lights and wake the little crazy woman.

Indeed, my first phone call at about age 4-5 in 1951, consisted of picking up the phone and telling the operator who I wanted to call. She connected the call.

'Sarah, get me the diner.'

When I got my Samsung Galaxy 4 last year, it came pre-loaded with a bunch of apps, most of which I don’t use, have no use for or have no idea how to use.

But some are good.

I do use my phone as my alarm clock and use the timer function to remind me to take something I’m cooking off of the stove or out of the oven or to remind me to get the laundry out of my apartment’s basement laundry room.

I recently down loaded the GEICO app that allows me to bring up my insurance card electronically which is now legal proof of insurance here in PA or quickly contact roadside assistance should I need it - very handy.

I like the ATT Navigator GPS app and also Google maps.

When I traveled to the UK last year on business, I down loaded an app from our corporate travel agent that allowed me to check my flight status or be automatically alerted to flight delays, among other useful tools like contacting them should I need to, should I run into problems and need emergency assistance of any kind and it is linked to our corporate travel insurance company. I also downloaded a quick currency converter app and an app called Triposo – United Kingdom – you put in your location and it gives you information on local attractions and places to eat, weather, phone numbers for cab companies, etc.

I am the payroll/HRIS manager for my company and I recently launched access to the ADP mobile app to employees and managers. The app allows employees (using their regular ADP self service log on and password) to view their pay statements, view their benefits and electronic versions of their insurance cards, log on to their 401k account and view company news including emergency weather shutdown and delayed shift announcements. The manager access also allows them to approve time cards and PTO requests. The managers especially love the app as some of them travel extensively and don’t always have access to a PC or travel with their laptop but they either have company issued iPhones or iPads or are using their own personal android phones.

I need an app that will allow users to download to their mobile phone a unique series of virtual stickers. I am going to put them on WeChat and LINE, but I want an app to be able to sell from a separate website. Also, I am developing other virtual stickers for businesses and other endeavors.

Is there an app builder here who wants to be part of a company?
