The reality that some refuse to face is that the ONLY choice is the Obama-loving Dems or less than perfect Republicans.

Just remember how this “victory” turned out ultimately — handing an R seat over to the Dems:

Sen. Richard Lugar defeated by tea party challenger

http://articles.latimes.com/2012/may/09/nation/la-na-lugar-election-20120509

“Conservative rival Richard Mourdock easily wins Indiana’s Republican Senate primary over the 35-year incumbent. He will face Democratic Rep. Joe Donnelly in the general election.”

Followed by:

Joe Donnelly upsets Richard Mourdock in Indiana

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1112/83440.html

“Democratic Rep. Joe Donnelly pulled off a stunning upset over Republican Richard Mourdock in the Indiana Senate race — a battle that the GOP thought was a sure win until the final days of the campaign.”

So, you are campaigning for the Dems?

As I said there are only 2 choices, if you want the GOP to lose, that means you want the Dems to win.

Mitch McConnell boasts lead in internal poll

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s re-election campaign released an internal poll showing him with a 7-point lead over Democratic challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes, contradicting recent surveys of Kentucky voters that show it’s a neck-and-neck race.

The internal poll had Mr. McConnell, Kentucky Republican, leading 49 percent to 42 percent for Mrs. Grimes, the Kentucky secretary of state who has mounted a robust challenge to the 30-year Senate veteran.

...

“The results show a unified Republican party,” said the memo to Mr. McConnell. “At this time 85 percent of likely Republican voters support you; among likely voters who identify themselves as Tea Party Republicans 92 percent supports you.”

So if McConnell loses, do you think the republicans can come up with a conservative to challenge this lady the next time around?

No, because the Democrat bench is thin as it is, so Grimes will be groomed to become the next Feinstein or Boxer.

What do you mean McConnell had anything to do with McDaniels defeat.

McConnell held a fundraiser for Cochran. About a million dollars.

That money went directly to ru racist robo calls, racist print ads
and paying for votes.

BFD. That's a distinction without a difference given the pathetic crop of "R"'s occupying the leadership in Washington. Not a dime's worth of difference between them and the "D"'s.

Internal polls mean squat. See the polls where Grimes is leading in the KY TV polls and other national polls.

If the GOPe wins the Senate then we have McConnell as the Senate Majority leader. McConnell is NOT a fighter. He'd get his arse handed to him by Obama and MSM. Then for two whole years we'd hear Obama and MSM whine and blame the Republicans for everything.

If McConnell loses and we gain the Senate and Ted Cruz becomes Senate Majority Leader I will crawl over broken glass to defeat TurbinDurbin.

I just love the idiots that come on to FreeRepublic and assume that this is a “Republican” forum.

I’ve heard that. If that’s the case, I don’t care if mitch gets put out to pasture either. He’s been a horrible leader for republicans in the senate. I wouldn’t mind if all the GOPe went down.

We’ve got to purge the republican party of the GOP elites.

O’Connell ??????????
= = = = = = = = = = = =
Puhleeze!..... a ‘little’ typo is fine BUT I take ‘personal umbrage’ at this particular spelling of the McConnell RINO(KY)GOPe select crew.
Remember when “Newt” and the boys sent Foley D (WA) packing.
Wonder if Boner and MickyD will sue the voters????

“Everyone” is definitely correct, GOPe ‘shoots its wad’ defeating/crushing the Conservative Candidate and ignoring the ‘other side’.

Think Mitt R in 2012, sterilized himself on the R’s, and played kissypoo v BO....

And THEY are thinking of him again......

No, it means you enjoy being dumped on and rained on by your own party.
It floats your boat. The more you get dumped on the more excited you get.

Purge is the right term to use. And the old “So you’re campaigning for the Dem” canard no longer works. Geez, GOPe, let that one rest!

It is a fact.

My Senator, Bob Corker attended.

Fortunately, I have Jeff Sessions and Richard Shelby for my senators.

We’d all be so much better off if we had more like them.

There's gotta be some kind of kinky, perverse, GOPe progressive pleasure in there somewhere!

Thanks.

Again, my main point is that the GOPe (GOP establishment) is totally ignoring the general election against under-the-radar, well-funded Democrat candidates.

Internal polls might mean squat to you, but not to those who pay for them. They rely on their accuracy and the politicians with flush war chests buy the best, the ones with the top track records for proven accuracy.
